In my opinion, most travel websites don’t provide nearly enough photographs, information or one-on-one service, so I decided to create a different type of travel website.

Designed to be beautiful, informative and engaging, the Tropical Living website makes it easier for you to decide where to go. I have highlighted the breathtaking beauty of each property by including stunning photo galleries with numerous beauty shots because I believe that in order to decide on your next vacation destination, you need to be able to see plenty of photographs of what the location actually looks like. I’ve also included more text on each property than you’ll find on most websites because I believe it’s important that you are given as much detailed information as possible. Take your time to leisurely read the details about each island, tropical spa or luxury villa and decide which property is right for you. In addition, you’ll also find several pages of Tropical Living travel tips for safe, easy, worry-free traveling.

As Tropical Living's way of saying “thank you," whenever you buy an island, rent one of our properties for a week or longer, or buy one of our Homeware collections, Tropical Living will purchase a livestock animal from Heifer International on your behalf for a family in need. Heifer International is a non-profit community development organization whose goal for over 60 years has been to help end world hunger and poverty through self-reliance and sustainability. They have a simple but powerful vision: that a gift of livestock and training can transform the lives of impoverished families. They help by teaching people how to produce food and income for themselves using donated animals, including cows, goats, sheep, water buffalos, llamas, ducks, geese and chickens. "Passing on the Gift" means the recipients agree to share the offspring of the donated animals with others in need, thus becoming donors themselves. Heifer also helps communities flourish through small loans and enterprise planning and has helped more than seven million families lift themselves from poverty to self-reliance, providing hope for the future for hungry families all over the world.

For the Island Tribe, there’s no destination we love more than exotic tropical islands, breathing in the sweet air, feeling the embrace of the warm tropical trades, inhaling the intoxicating fragrance of tropical flowers and walking along white beaches lined with thousands of coconut palms.

But it’s more than the natural beauty that draws us to tropical islands – the feeling runs much deeper. Tropical islands help us remember our true essence. They carry the pulse of a much slower, gentler pace and relaxed lifestyle, barefoot. Stress melts away and there is a sense of inner peace and calmness. I was inspired to create Tropical Living because I am genuinely concerned about the speed of life, the lack of leisure time and its effect on people. Leisure time has become endangered by the global epidemic of busyness. Tired, overworked and starved for quality time off, our busy lifestyles place enormous strains on togetherness. As people get busier, they neglect some of the most important aspects of being alive-our connection with ourselves and those we love. Marriages and relationships suffer because couples do not invest the necessary time to nurture each other and stay connected. It takes TIME to stay connected.
